Updated: May 23, 2023

Before we begin, here is a note of caution Korean Dramas or K-dramas can play with your emotions and get you hooked into the character's life as no other series can. They have all the right emotions in the mix portrayed by cute and handsome-looking artists who can take your world by storm.

Here are two K-dramas that are must-watch for a first-time watcher:

Crash Landing on You:

This is the love story of a South Korean heiress Yoon Se-ri who ended across the border in North Korea after a paragliding accident and a North Korean elite captain Ri Jeong Hyeok who hides her and protects her and finally helps her cross border. The 16-episode series has political and business conspiracy mixed with moments of friendship and romance and you fall for it all hook, line and sinker.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo:

Park Eun-bin portrays autistic rookie attorney Woo Young Woo and many look down on her and her impairment but at every turn, she proves her brilliance at her new job in the law firm. The legal drama has everything that goes into making a great Korean series but what elevates the show further is Eun-bin's authentic portrayal of her character. The series deals with serious themes and issued with plenty of humour to counter the sombre storyline. This boats one of the all-time high viewership.
