Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham

A reminder of the peak Covid days, this small-budget movie explores the human bonds during the time of Covid restrictions.

Streaming on SonyLiv, this Malayalam film follows the life of a serial entrepreneur who is avoiding the pressure to go to Gulf for work as many from Kerala do. His father, portrayed only through voice over the phone is working there and provides for the family.

The first revolves around the failed ventures of the protagonist and his friends and family, while the second part completely turns to the family and the community coming together to get the body of the father back from Dubai during the Covid days. There is kind of a disconnect between the two halves. And like many new age slice of life movies it doesn’t provide a definite end.

The actors are all brilliant with Basil Joseph, director of Minnal Murali, as the protagonist is outstanding in his portrayal of the son. Others like Indrans, Jaffer Idukki and Sudheesh have done their part well.

Direct Muhashin has done his job well as you feel invested in the movie and will take a few minutes to get out after it ends. A nice watch on a weekend.

With a runtime of 2 hours Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham is streaming on SonyLiv
